West Texas Electrical JATC
To renew your TDLR Master, Journeyman, or Apprentice License, a 4 hour continuing education course is required to be taken every year. The class includes TDLR rules and laws, NFPA 70E Safety Information, and Code Changes for the 2017 NEC.
Apprentice who are DOL registered with the West Texas Electrical JATC are not required to take this course while in the program.

Registration Fee:$30.00 FOR NON-MEMBERS (NO CHARGE FOR MEMBERS OF LOCAL UNION IBEW 602 OR WEST TEXAS CHAPTER NECA)
Each class will be limited to 25 people. If any class has less than 5 people signed up, it may be rescheduled.
OSHA 10-Mandatory for all registered apprentices and most general contractors require a current OSHA 10 card to work on their jobs.
Class description: Mandatory topics include: Intro to OSHA, Fall Hazards, Struck by Hazards, Caught between Hazards, Electrocution Hazards, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Other topics covered are: Electrical Safety, Ladder Safety, Tools (Hand and Power) Safety, and Hearing Loss Dangers.
*Must cover all topics within 6 months to receive OSHA Card. OSHA cards do not expire, however, replacement cards can only be issued within 3 years of last course taken.
CPR/First Aid-Mandatory for all registered apprentices. Marcus Lundegreen is the instructor. We will post open classes as they become available.
CODE OF EXCELLENCE
Code of Excellence-The 7th district has mandated this course. If you have not taken this class, please contact your local hall to schedule a date.
All Classes Subject to a Minimum Fee of $30 per class day unless you are a member of IBEW 602 or West Texas Chapter NECA.
